KEA Extends KCET 2021 Application Form Last Date, Postpones Correction – Check Notice Published at kea.kar.nic.in

KEA has reopened the window to apply for KCET 2021, and postponed the starting of form correction by one day.

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) hereby informs the decision to extend the last date for KCET 2021 application form submission, and new schedule for form correction.

The deadline for UGCET 2021 (referred popularly as KCET) registration and fee payment is extended until July 20, 2021 up to 6 pm. Earlier, the last date to apply was July 16, and for fee payment the deadline was July 19. Along with this, the authority has also decided that the window for editing applications, to do corrections, will start after the form submission ends. Thus, the link for correction will now be activated on July 20, at 6:30 pm. Deadline to do corrections will be July 23, 2021. Initially, the form correction was supposed to start today.

The Karnataka CET exam will be held on August 28 and 29, 2021.

KCET 2021 Correction

Last opportunity to apply for KCET exam

The eligible candidates can apply KCET 2021 from kea.kar.nic.in. To apply, candidates need to visit the official website and click on the link for “New User”. After doing so, candidates need to read the given instructions and click on ‘Proceed to apply online’. A 13 digit ‘Student Number’ issued from PUE Department has to be entered by the candidates. Then will have to click on ‘Submit’.

After the KCET exam registration is done, the candidates will have to enter the personal and academic details. Upon submission, candidates will receive the KCET 2021 application number and user id to their registered email ID and mobile number. It has to be kept safely since it will be used for login purposes. Next, the candidates will have to fill in the required details in the KCET application form.

The application fee for Karnataka KCET is Rs. 500. However, for candidates belonging to SC / ST / CAT-1 of Karnataka only need to pay Rs. 250. For candidates outside Karnataka, the charges are Rs. 750. The fee can only be paid through online mode.

For a new registration, only those candidates who has passed 2nd PUC (Class 12th) are eligible to apply. Further they have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in their 2nd PUC along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Electronics/ Computer Science as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study. Apart from this, candidates should be a citizen of India.

Further, editing option for UGCET 2021 will be activated on from 6:30 pm tomorrow. Students can edit all the fields in the application form. It should be noted that the details can be modified by the candidates as per the eligibility.

Once the editing window is closed, the examination authority would issue KCET 2021 admit card. It will be issued online, on the official website.

KCET-2021 will be conducted for admission to professional courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, Veterinary, Agricultural Naturopathy and Yoga for the academic year 2021-22. KEA will conduct UGCET 2021 at the designated examination centers within and outside of Karnataka.

The Karnataka UGCET 2021 will be held in offline pen-paper mode. There will be 3 sections in the exam for mathematics, physics, and chemistry. To answer each section of the exam total 80 minutes will be given. Each section will contain 60 multiple choice type questions, marking a total 180 questions. All the questions will be of multiple choice type. Each question will carry equal and 1 mark. There will be no negative marking in the exam.
