Vellore Institute of Technology has wrapped VITEEE 2021 exam in online proctored mode on May 31, 2021. The exam was held over 3 days that is May 28, 29, 31. However, the second slot on the second day of the exam was interrupted due to some technical glitch and was re-conducted on May 30. The result of the remote proctored entrance test is expected this week.
As per VIT, the result of the test will be available in the 1st week of June or later. The result will be available online at vit.ac.in. This year, the results may also be displayed on the website viteee.codetantra.com.
Although the online exam has been conducted by the varsity, there are a few students who are demanding a re-conduct. But why so?
Well, as per many students the VITEEE 2021 online test platform (Codetantra) gave them a hard time during the exam. There were errors like “This page is not working”, “HTTP status 404 – Not Found”, and just a blank screen in front of them.
Also, students grouched about the proctors assigned to them. They claimed that their proctor did not attend their chats and calls when they tried to contact them.
Due to the various hurdles that the students faced during all the 3 days of VIT Engineering Entrance Exam 2021, the demand for a re-examination has surfaced.
Also, apparently on the last day of the exam, on May 31, 2021, VIT has set a question-wise time limit. The time limit was 40 secs per question in Maths and 20 secs per question in Physics and Chemistry. This also anguished the students. They found it difficult to solve 80 questions in 1 hour.
VITEEE results will be based only on the performance of the candidates in the VIT admission tests held on 28, 29, and 31 May. The score of VITEEE is calculated on the basis of the marking scheme. For each correct answer, candidates are awarded 1 mark and no marks are deducted for negative marking. The more the number of correct questions, the more are the marks of the candidates.
To check the result and download the rank card of VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE 2021), candidates need to login to the official website. On the basis of the rank and availability of seats, candidates will be called for counselling. Selected candidates will get admission in VIT Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and Amravati.
