There has been a strong buzz for some time regarding the cancellation of the UPTET 2022 examination expected to be held on January 23, 2022. Although the admit card for the entrance exam has been released, students were convinced that the examination will be postponed since the state PCS examination was cancelled recently citing the omicron scare.
Yesterday the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath dismissed all the rumours on UPTET postponement with a tweet that read, candidates who are found to be showing Covid-19 symptoms shall be allowed to take up the exam in the isolation centre.
The tweet also divulged that enough preparation has been made keeping in mind the Covid-19 situation in mind. Earlier, talking to a leading media house, Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi, a member of the exam body made it clear that there is no point in cancelling the exam as we have made all the preparations for it.

With these tweets, it is now clear, that the students are not willing to appear in the examination and are seeking intervention from higher authorities. However, the state government is in no mood to give an ear to these demands made by the students which are making the whole situation even worse. The government is adamant and stern on its stance to conduct the UPTET examination on the decided date.
Earlier, the examination was scheduled to be held on November 28, 2021, however, citing the question paper leakage the exam was cancelled. However, this time the authorities have made all the necessary arrangements to avoid any mishap at the last moment.
