The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) will be conducting the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test or UPTET 2021 exam today. Since there are two papers for the exam, there will be two shifts over which the exam will take place. Paper I (primary level) of UPTET 2021 will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM while Paper II (upper primary level) is scheduled from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. For the primary level, 12,91,628 candidates have applied while 8,73,553 candidates have registered for the upper primary level.
Candidates who will be appearing for the examination must ensure that they carry the UPTET 2021 admit card and a valid photo ID proof that they have used during online application. They should reach the examination centres well before the reporting time in order to avoid late arrival. Moreover, it should be noted that no candidate will be allowed entry after the commencement of the examination.

Now, as soon as the examination concludes, the unofficial answer keys are likely to be available on various platforms including private websites and YouTube. However, the official answer keys may take some time to be released on the official website – updeled.gov.in. Candidates will get the opportunity to raise objections against the provisional answer keys.
To get access to the unofficial answer keys for UPTET 2021, one can type ‘UPTET 2021 answer key’ on the YouTube search box and go through the videos that are available. Please note that these answer keys will only be available after the examination concludes. The benefit of going through the answer keys is that they will help the candidates get an idea of the correct answers and calculate a tentative score.
Both papers I and II of UPTET 2021 will be of 150 marks. For every correct answer, 01 mark will be awarded. However, there will be no negative marking in the examination. Using this marking scheme, candidates will be available to calculate a tentative score.
A total of 21.65 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the examination in two shifts. For that, nearly 4000 examination centres have been set up to hold the UPTET 2021 examination. Institutes that have CCTV cameras installed have been given priority to be set up as examination centres. This examination has now been made compulsory for candidates who desire to get recruited as teachers. Last year, the examination could not take place due to the COVID-19 situation in the state. Hence, this year, the number of examinees is seen to have increased.
