Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) is organizing the recruitment to fill 655 vacancies of forest guard in the state. Recently, the commission released syllabus for UP forest guard recruitment exam. Shortly, exam date and admit card will also be available.
Usually, UPSSSC releases exam date notification, within one week of publishing syllabus. Depending on the finalised exam date, the commission then releases admit card around one week prior to the exam.
Therefore it is expected that the exam date for UPSSSC forest guard recruitment 2019 will be announced next week. The exam itself is likely to be conducted next month, in December. Accordingly, the admit card is likely to be available by end of November or first week of December. However these are extrapolations, and actual dates for each of the events will be as per the final decision of the commission.
UPSSSC will conduct a written exam for the purpose of selection of forest guards. The exam will be of 200 marks, with all multiple choice questions. There will be 80 questions of 80 marks on hindi knowledge and writing ability, 60 questions of 60 marks on general knowledge, and 60 questions of 60 marks on general intelligence test.
The exam will be of 2.5 hours. Each question will be of one mark, and there will also be negative marking to the tune of 0.25 marks per incorrect answer.
First section in the exam, on hindi language, will be of intermediate level. The second one, on general knowledge, will include questions on current affairs, facts that are experienced daily, specifically India related history and geographical questions, scientific knowledge, environmental aspects questions whose answers are expected from an intermediate pass candidate.
And the third section on general intelligence test will assess a candidate’s ability to comprehend new situations and how they will analyze them and take decisions. There will be questions that will check how much one can follow directions, find similarities and differences, and exercise mental ability.
UPSSSC forest guard admit card will be issued at the official website upsssc.gov.in. To download it, candidates will have to go to the website, click on examination / interview, then click download written exam admit card. This will take them to a page where they can login with candidate registration number, date of birth, gender, verification code. Only such candidates will get admit cards, whose applications were accepted. Against rejected applications, UPSSSC does not issue call letters.
The UPSSSC advt 05-exam/2019 notified 596 vacancies of forest guard, and 59 vacancies of wild life guard. Both the posts are in pay scale 5200 – 20200 grade pay 1900 in level 2. Class 12th pass candidates could apply for the posts in July-August. Selection shall be on the basis of written exam, physical standards tests, physical efficiency test, and medical examination.
