Union Public Service Commission has released the UPSC IES ISS 2022 application form and notification on the official website today, upsc.gov.in. The commission has notified 24 vacancies for IES (Indian Economic Service) and 29 vacancies for the ISS (Indian Statistical Service). The application form filling has commenced from April 06 to 26, till 6 PM.
UPSC IES ISS Important Dates 2022
The candidates willing to withdraw the application form can do that from May 04 to 10, 2022 till 6 PM. The UPSC IES ISS 2022 exam shall be held on June 24, 2022, across 19 exam centres situated in the country. The commission has not yet mentioned the date of releasing the admit card and the same shall be announced in the due course.
UPSC IES ISS Eligibility Criteria 2022
As per the notification, the age limit for unreserved category students is 21 to 30 years as of August 01, 2021. The academic qualification for IES is having a postgraduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics. Whereas, the same for ISS is Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics
How to fill out the UPSC IES ISS Application Form 2022?
The application form for UPSC IES ISS 2022 is available only in online mode. Hence keeping that in mind, the candidates can use the steps mentioned in the space below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC, upsc.gov.in
Step 2: Click on the Apply Online option available on the right hand side of the homepage.
Step 3: Next, click on the new registration option and fill the same to generate the registration number and password.
Step 4: Log in with the registration number and password and fill the application form with personal detail, academic qualification, test centre preference, etc.
Step 5: Upload the scanned documents in the prescribed limit and pay the application fee admissible for the candidate’s category before final submission.

The candidates who belong to the reserved category, PWDB or women applicants are exempted from paying the application fee. Whereas, open and OBC category students have to pay INR 200 for the UPSC IES ISS 2022 application form. The prescribed limit for the scanned documents is 20 to 300KB.
UPSC IES ISS Exam Pattern 2022
The UPSC IES ISS exam pattern is going to have two rounds i.e. written exam for 1000 marks and a viva-voce round for 200 marks. The written exam shall be held in the offline mode for six papers. There shall be two common papers i.e. General English and General Studies in both the stream for 100 marks. At the same time, four discipline papers from Economics and Statistics each accounting for 200 marks shall be asked in the exam. The candidates will get 3 hours to complete each paper asked in the exam.
