Union Public Service Commission has recently released the UPSC Civil Service (Preliminary) Exam admit card. Applicants who have successfully submitted the applications can now download the admit card from upsconline.nic.in or upsc.gov.in. All they need is a registration ID/ roll number and date of birth to the login and download the UPSC IAS call letter. The window to get the UPSC IAS admit card will remain open up to October 04, 2020; the day of the exam.
In order to download the admit card, IAS aspirants first have to reach the official website of UPSC, upsc.gov.in. Reaching the website, they have scroll down a bit and get the ‘Admit Cards’ button. After clicking on it, they are redirected to e-admit cards section where applicants have to click on ‘e-admit card for various Examinations of UPSC’. Thereafter, click on the ‘download’ button against the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2020 section. Read the instructions and proceed with the login process. Select the method of downloading the UPSC IAS admit card – by registration ID or by Roll number. On clicking on the ‘submit’ button candidates will get the call letter. Take a print to of it on a plain white A4 size sheet.
While downloading the call letter, candidates will notice that UPSC has uploaded a list of important instructions for the exam day. It is crucial to give it a read as suggested by UPSC itself. As per the instructions notice, candidates have to reach the examination centre at least 10 minutes before the examination. Carry hard copy of the admit card, the government approved photo identity proof, and a ballpoint pen to the examination centre. Those who have an unclear photograph on the admit card have to carry at least 02 passport size photograph; one for each session of the exam.
Amidst COVID-19, UPSC will be following social distancing norms and other instructions to conduct the examination without any obstacle. Candidates have to wear mask/ face cover while entering the examination hall and during the examination. However, they have to remove their mask for the verification whenever asked by the Examination Functionaries. Those who forget to wear a mask/ face cover are not allowed to enter the exam centre under any condition. In addition, applicants also have to bring their hand sanitizer (small size) in a transparent bottle only. They also have to maintain distancing and personal hygiene inside the examination room and premises of the exam centre.
Apart from the admit card, UPSC has also uploaded Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2020 Withdrawal List. The list of all the registration IDs that have withdrawn from the examination is mentioned in the list. The same is available on the upsconline.nic.in website.
