Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Director-Generation. The recruitment for Director- Generation is announced under the Energy Branch of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited at Patiala. The appointment for Director post shall initially be for a period of 02 years. The service period may outstretch for a maximum period of 05 years. However, no Director shall continue his/her service beyond the age of 65 years.
Before candidates submit the application form, they must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for the recruitment. Applicants with Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Computer Science/ ECE/ Instrumentation Engineering/ IT from recognized university are eligible for the post of Director – Generation. Their age should exceed as that of the specified maximum age limit of 50 years at the time of appointment.
As the announced posts for Director, candidates must have relevant work experience. Applicants who have served at least 25 years in a power utility and worked at the level of CE or equivalent for one year are eligible for this post. Those who have a minimum of 10 years of work experience in the field of Design/ Construction/ Operation and Maintenance/ Fuel Management in Thermal. Hydel Power Station are also eligible. Out of these 10 years, they must have worked for at least 03 years at the level of SE/ CE. Moreover, candidates who have worked for 05 years as SE/ CE or 20 years in the field of Construction/ Design/ Operation and Maintenance/ Fuel Management in Thermal/ Hydel Power can also apply.

Candidates have to provide some crucial details about the work experience such as designation, the gist of ACRs of the last 10 years, and others. The neatly typed application form along with the self-attested copies of the requisite documents. Applicants have to submit the following documents with the form – certificate in support of age, basic/ essential qualification, experience and No Objection certificate from the concerned organization.

The cover of the envelope should be superscribed with “Application for the post of Director/ Generation post, PSPCL”.
