As per one of the National Dailies, the State Professional Training Council, Uttar Pradesh is said to increase the number of Industrial Training Institutions (ITI) seats to 9380. Among these 9380 seats, 5972 seats have already been sanctioned by the authorities. Rest 3405 seats are left to be officially validated. The authorities are expected to officially release a statement regarding this, by the end of June 2019.
The rise in the number of UP ITI 2019 seats could be seen due to the decision of the Board to make the candidates successful in some of the popular trades and to fulfil the demands of the Industrial sector. As per the proposal drafted, 1250 seats for Fitter, 800 seats for Mechanics (Motor Vehicle), 300 seats for Mechanic (Diesel Engine), 325 seats for Turner, 775 seats for Welder, 350 seats each for Machinist and Electronics, 300 seats for Electrician and 972 for other trades. These seats are likely to go up from August onward.
In the past 2 years, it has been observed that Professional Education Board has decided to increase over 25,000 seats, approximately. Another than these trades, some other trades which are more inclined to the interest of women may also see a rise in their number. Such trades like Basic Cosmology, Fashion Technology and Dress Making are likely to increase the number of seats by 200, 250 and 100 seats, respectively.
Candidates who have either passed Class 10 or 12 with Mathematics and Science, depending on the trade applying for, become eligible for applying. The minimum age limit for applying to UP ITI 2019 admission is 14 years. The online application process of UP ITI usually commences on its official website, www.vppup.in, by the last week of April.
Interested candidates can submit their online applications for Goverment ITIs by the last week of April, whereas by the 1st week of April for Private ITIs. If falling under any of the reserved category, a candidate can opt for a quota, rpovided that he/she has a valid proof of it. Reservation quotas are made available for SC/ ST Trainee & for OBC Trainee, Freedom Fighters, Ex-Serviceman, Physically Handicapped Candidates and Female Candidates.
