AHSEC HS Result 2021 Declared

Uttar Pradesh Board of High School & Intermediate Education is reportedly going to postpone the 2021 Board exams on account of the upcoming Panchayat Elections in the state. As per reports, the Board previously announced that the exams will be conducted from April 24 to May 12, 2021. At that time, the State Election Commission also proposed to complete the multi-phase Panchayat Elections by April 23, 2021. Now that the dates of the election are set to be notified by the Commission on March 27, 2021, the new Board exam dates will be announced only after a final decision on the Panchayat Election dates. However, as per reports, it is being anticipated that the UP Board exams may start from the first week of May 2021.

As per reports, the State Election Commission in Uttar Pradesh is going to release the official notification regarding the upcoming Panchayat Elections on March 27, 2021. The Commission has proposed to complete the elections by the end of April 2021. Subsequently, the counting process is also proposed to be completed the May 03 or 04, 2021. As of now, the State Government is reportedly revising the reservation process following orders from the Lucknow Bench of the High Court.

As per media reports, sources in the Commission has indicated that a total period of 42 days is required to complete the Panchayat Elections in the state. The Panchayat Elections are reportedly scheduled to be conducted in four phases in the state with one week of campaigning time between each phase. As such, the Commission is reportedly of the view that the Board examinations in the state be conducted after the entire election process, including the counting of votes is completed.

Confirming the anticipated postponement of the UP Board exams, Deputy Chief Minister of the State Dr Dinesh Sharma has reportedly stated to major media houses that the exams can only be conducted after the conclusion of the state panchayat elections. However, the official did not indicate any new date. Instead, the Dy. CM was quoted saying that the new schedule of conducting the UP Board exams will be decided as per the schedule of the Panchayat Elections.

Contrary to the above, officials at the Secondary Education Department of the state are not pleased with the decision of postponement. Reportedly, the officials are not in favor of deferring the exam dates so that the results can be declared by June 2021. Although there is no specific date of examination announced yet, it is being anticipated that the Board exams may be conducted from the first week of May 2021, at the same time when CBSE 2021 Board exams are also scheduled to start.
