Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has reopened the application process against advertisement number 25/2020. A total of 746 vacancies are available to be filled up. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website i.e. sssc.uk.gov.in. The last date to apply online is July 22, 2020. Earlier, the application process was postponed by the Commission. Selection of candidates for appointment into the available posts in various departments of the Subordinate Services is to be done through a written exam that will be tentatively held in September 2020.

Post-wise, there are 431 vacancies for the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO)/Jr Asst/Jr Asst cum DEO), 81 vacancies for the post of Jr Asst cum Computer DEO, 149 vacancies for the post of Tax Collector, 12 vacancies for the post of Amin/Land Teaching Inspector, 56 vacancies for the post of Survey Accountant, 01 vacancies of Record Keeper, 01 for Reader, 04 vacancies for Telephone Operator, 03 vacancies for the post of Receptionist and 08 vacancies for the post of Telephone Operator.
Post-wise eligibility conditions are indicated in the detailed recruitment advertisement. For the post of DEO/Jr Asst/Jr Asst cum DEO, department-wise age limits are prescribed while candidates need to have passed Intermediate level exams. Similarly, for the post of Jr Asst cum Computer DEO, the age limit is 18 to 42 years while candidates need to have passed the Intermediate exam. For DEO posts, applicants must have typing speed as specified for different posts. The preliminary selection of eligible candidates is conducted through a written exam. The written exam consists of objective type questions from the subjects of General Hindi, General Knowledge, and General Studies. A total of 100 questions are present in the question paper and candidates are allowed duration of 2 hours to complete the test. There will be provisions for negative marking in the question paper. For every wrong answer, 1/4 marks are deducted. The examination will be conducted on OMR sheets. Candidates have to obtain a minimum of 35% marks in the exam to qualify for subsequent selection stages.
Candidates can apply online at the official website of UKSSSC. A One Time Registration Process must be conducted at first. Candidates will be required to register using a valid mobile number and email id following which, they can fill up and submit the online applications. An application fee of Rs 300 must be paid online by Unreserved and OBC candidates. However, SC/ST, PwBD and EWS candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 150.
