UGC NET Result 2022 Can Be Declared Today @ ugcnet.nta.nic.in

Candidates can check the result and cut-offs for this year's UGC NET exam from its official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to announce the results of the UGC NET 2021 conducted from November 20 to January 5, 2021. Although no official notification has been released by UGC, the results are expected to be announced today or in the next two days, reports suggest. The subject-wise answer key was released on January 21, 2022, and is available on the official website. Candidates can keep a close watch on the official website for the latest updates regarding the same.

UGC NET Results – steps to download

The results can be viewed by following the below steps, once the link is activated on the official website for UGC NET.

Step 1. Go to the official website of Union grants commission ugcnet.nta.nic.in

Step 2. Scroll down to the bottom of the home page.

Step 3. Click on the results icon.

Step 4. Enter your login details such as you your registration number, date of birth, and security pin.

Step 5. Download and save the scorecard. 

The minimum requirement is 40% aggregate in both Paper I and II for the general category and 35% for all reserved categories. The cut-off marks will vary with respect to the subject opted, previous year trends and the number of seats set by the commission, and the number of candidates appearing for the exam.

In an effort to avoid further disruption in the UGC NET examination cycles owing to the pandemic, NET Dec 2020 and NET June 2021 were conducted together. The exam took place in 177 cities across 338 centers. There were over 12 lakh, initial applicants, for the exam. 52,335 candidates in total appeared for the exam in 36 different subjects among which approximately 48 percent were female candidates. 

The NET UGC is a national-level eligibility exam for Assistant professorship and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or both across 81 subjects. Qualifying the exam would make candidates eligible for Assistant professor Posts in Indian universities and colleges. 6% of the applicants who qualify the minimum requirements will be awarded the Assistant professorship and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
