UGC NET 2018 was conducted by the National Testing Agency on December 19, 2018. Paper-1 and Paper-2 were held in the morning and in the evening shift both. For shift 1, the first paper was conducted from 9:30 am to 10:30 am and the second paper was held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. In the second shift, NTA conducted Paper-1 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm and Paper-2 from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The overall analysis of UGC NET 2018 paper 1 indicates that the paper was well balanced and moderate in difficulty level.
The questions were all equally distributed. However, there were more questions from the higher education part. One question was asked from the coding and decoding. In the reasoning section, there were questions to calculate the speed. There was also one question from water and sanitisation. Also, there were questions related to environment and Disposal methods of wet and dry wastes.
Reading comprehension was totally based on understanding.
In the evening shift, the level of the questions
Paper-1 in the Morning shift was moderate but the in the evening shift, the question paper was easy. The level of the Higher Education was quite easy. Reasoning questions were asked of banking level while the reading comprehension was easy. In the evening session, the DI was easy.
UGC NET 19 Dec Answer Key 2018 has been released. It is memory based answer key which has been released by various coaching institutes. Candidates can crosscheck their answers with it and can estimate their scores.
The next exams will be held on December 20, 21, and 22, 2018. For these exams, the unofficial answer key will be released on the same date and it will be memory based.
To know the details, candidates should check UGC NET 2018 exam apttern. 50 questions will be asked in Paper-1. Candidates will be provided 1 hour to complete the exam. Each question will have 2 marks each. So, the entire question paper will be of 100 marks.
For Paper-2, NTA will ask a total of 100 questions of 200 marks. each question will be of 2 marks. The questions will be objective type and will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
