A recent press notification released by the Office of the Convener, DEECET 2021 on August 03, 2021 is now circulating on social media sites. It states that the Telangana State Diploma In Elementary Education Common Entrance Test (TSDEECET) 2021 is now inviting applications for Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) and Diploma in Pre-School Education (D.P.S.E). As per social media reports, the notification also states that candidates can start applying online from August 06, 2021 via the online mode at deecet.cdse.telangana.gov.in. The last date for submitting the applications is August 25, 2021. The official notification for TS DEECET 2021 is yet to be out on the official website.
The information bulletin will be made available to the candidates shortly. Meanwhile, they can refer to the previous information bulletins of 2020 and 2019 to get an idea about the application fee, eligibility criteria, etc. The examination that will be held in an online computer based test (CBT) mode will seek to admit students into two-year courses in the Government DIETs and the private un-aided elementary teacher education institutions for the session 2021-2023.
Based on the procedure that has been followed till 2020, it is important for the candidates to first download the information bulletin, go through it carefully and check whether they fulfill the eligibility criteria or not. After that, they have to pay the required application fee online, details of which will be made available on the information bulletin. Post successful payment, candidates will be issued a payment reference ID using which they can complete the rest of their application. Note that while filling up the application form, candidates may be required to upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature. Hence, it is advised to be ready with the same.
As per last year’s data, the D. El. Ed programme is offered in three languages namely Telugu, English and Urdu. While making their online application, candidates must specify their medium. They have to appear for the examination in the specified medium only. On the other hand, the D. P. S. E programme is offered only in the medium of English.
Papers, irrespective of their medium, comprise three parts. Part I covers a compulsory paper on General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude. However, Part II is based on languages in which English is compulsory along with an optional language (Telugu or Urdu). The final part or Part III comprises Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences and Social studies.
