Himachal Pradesh is having bad weather. Now, the weather is affecting the students of government schools. Also, in the heavy rain, the teachers are also facing complications in coming to the schools. The candidates who are appearing for the board exams are also dealing with the troubles. Many students are appearing for the practical exams in snowflakes.
On Wednesday, the State Teachers Union had a meeting with the Director of the Board Veerendra Chauhan. The teachers have requested the director to declare holidays for the students and also to postpone the practical exams due to heavy rain and bad weather.
The practical exams of class 10 will be held from February 21 to 28, 2019. These exams are being held in affiliated schools only. To know the exam dates, respective subjects, and the timings, the students should contact the respective schools or respective authorities. It is notified that the candidates can not carry the mobile phone and electronic gadgets in the examination centre. If the students violate these rules then they will not be allowed to sit for the exams.
The theory exams of class 10 will be held from March 07 to 20, 2019. The exams will be conducted for 13 days. The first exams will be for Science & Technology. The exam dates for regular board and open schools are the same. The candidates of the regular/ compartment/ improvement/ other subjects will be able to appear for the theory exams from 8:45 am to 12:00 noon. For the candidates who are enrolling for the open school, exams will be able to do so from 1:45 pm to 5:00 pm.
The practical exams have been revised. Now, the board is conducting the practical exams from February 19, 2019. First practical exam is for Physics. The last practical exam will be for Chemistry and it will be held on March 02, 2019. As per HPBOSE 12th Date Sheet 2019, the theory exams will be conducted from March 06, 2019. The exams will be completed within 23 days. The last date of the exams is March 29, 2019. The first and the last exams will be held for English and Financial Literacy respectively.
For class 8, the students are going to appear for the exams from March 14, 2019. After 12 days, the exams will be finished on March 26, 2019. The first exam is for Sanskrit while the last exam is for Arts (Drawing and Applied Arts)/ Home Science/ Vocal Music/ Instrumental Music/ Punjabi/ Urdu.
