With the aim to promote education among students of Class 1-8, the government of Tamil Nadu has come up with a new fellowship programme – Illam Thedi Kalvi 2022. Under this scheme, individuals who have recently cleared Class 12 can form a group and teach lower classes. In spite of functioning as a volunteer, the individual will also be awarded money in-exchange for his/her service. State governments across the country are introducing fellowship programmes and schemes to encourage education among the youth. The country is also facing a shortage of teaching staff. So, to reduce the disruption in education caused by this shortage, schemes like Illam Thedi Kalvi are implemented.
Illam Thedi Kalvi 2022 – Application Form
To apply for the Illam Thedi Kalvi 2022 scheme, eligible candidates need to fill and submit the online form. This form is made available on the official website illamthedikalvi.tnschools.gov.in. So, there is no need for candidates to submit the form in-person or through offline mode.
The Illam Thedi Kalvi 2022 is being implemented in 12 districts spread across the state. These include Nagapattinam, the Nilgiris, Dindigul, Cuddalore, Tiruchy, Erode, Thanjavur, Madurai, Kanniyakumari, Krishnag, Villupuram and Kancheepuram.
While the scheme was introduced in October, candidates still have time to register for this fellowship programme. In exchange for their service, the government has planned on awarding Rs.25,000 each to all volunteers.

Step 2: on the homepage of the website, select the “Click Here to Start the Volunteer Registration Form” link.
Step 3; By doing so, a new page will open containing the application form. Enter all the required details such as basic information, address details, education and professional details, etc.
Step 4: Check and verify all the details entered in the form before submitting it.
