Big news for the candidates who are going to appear for class 12 board exams from Tamil Nadu board. The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu has changed the exam pattern for the upcoming class 12 board exams. The changes have been made for each subject. For class 10, the board has not made any changes in the paper pattern. The board will conduct the exams for class 10 from March 14 to 29, 2019. So, the board exams for class 10 will be held for 15 days. The first and the last exams will be for Language Paper- I and Social Science respectively.

For class 10 and 12, the board has also mentioned the result declaration date. The Tamil Nadu board Result 2019 will be announced on April 29 and April 19, 2019, for SSLC and HSC respectively.

The Directorate of Government Examinations came into existence in the year 1911. Then it became a separate directorate in the year 1975. The board had conducted the first exam for the SSLC standard in the year 1911. The Directorate has 7 regional offices across the state. It conducts the board exams thrice a year. The first exam in April/ May, the second in June/ July and the third in September/ October.
