Big news for the candidates who are going to appear for class 12 board exams from Tamil Nadu board. The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu has changed the exam pattern for the upcoming class 12 board exams. The changes have been made for each subject. Earlier, in Section A, the board use to ask the multiple choice questions. But now, these MCQs will be replaced with the Fill in the blanks, assertion-reason, match the following and similar questions. All these questions will be of 1 mark.
In the month of January 2019, the Tamil Nadu board has issued the model test papers. It was released through the State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT). But, in the model question papers, there were no changes mentioned. The questions were available in the previous old paper format.
The students are anxious and worried about the board exams. It may cause an adverse effect on the students’ results. The Tamil Nadu board had already changed the marks per subject from 200 to 100. Also, the time duration for the board exams has been reduced by 30 minutes.
The Tamil Nadu 12th Time Table 2019 was released on December 21, 2019. The board exams for class 12 will be held from March 01, 2019. The exams will be continued for 19 days. The last date of the exams is March 19, 2019. Tamilnadu HSC Time Table March 2019 is available for the candidates who have opted the old syllabus or the new syllabus. The first exam will be of Language while the last exams will be for Biology/ Botany/ History/ Business Maths/ Office Management/ Accountancy & Auditing.
For class 10, the board has not made any changes in the paper pattern. The board will conduct the exams for class 10 from March 14 to 29, 2019. So, the board exams for class 10 will be held for 15 days. The first and the last exams will be for Language Paper- I and Social Science respectively.
For class 10 and 12, the board has also mentioned the result declaration date. The Tamil Nadu board Result 2019 will be announced on April 29 and April 19, 2019, for SSLC and HSC respectively.
The Directorate of Government Examinations came into existence in the year 1911. Then it became a separate directorate in the year 1975. The board had conducted the first exam for the SSLC standard in the year 1911. The Directorate has 7 regional offices across the state. It conducts the board exams thrice a year. The first exam in April/ May, the second in June/ July and the third in September/ October. After the completion of the exams, the board releases the result.
