IIT Madras has notified a change in the exam center address of GATE 2019 exam. As per the notice, the candidates who have the exam center code as ‘4035’ need to download their new Admit Card of GATE 2019 from GOAPS. The ‘4035’ center earlier was ‘PIXN Technology Pvt Ltd, Burdwan, Pin code: 713104’ which has now been replaced by a new center address which is ‘University Institute of Technology, The University of Burdwan, Golapbag (North), G.T. Road Burdwan, West Bengal, Pin code: 713104’.
The notice has also instructed the candidates with ‘4035’ exam center codes to login into GOAPS portal using their Enrollment ID / Email Address and Password to generated their new admit card. Also, the candidates are asked to crosscheck that their new admit card has the new center address against the exam center code ‘4035’ i.e. ‘University Institute of Technology, The University of Burdwan, Golapbag (North), G.T. Road Burdwan, West Bengal, Pin code: 713104’.
GATE 2019 Admit Card will be available for download until the day of the GATE 2019 exam. The GATE 2019 Exam Dates are February 02, 02, 09 and 10, 2019. This year the GATE 2019 exam is being held for 23 papers with statistics being the newest addition in the list of exam papers.
Candidates must ensure that on the exam day along with the hard copy of the admit card they have an original photo id proof – Passport/PAN Card/Voter ID/Aadhaar-UID/College ID/Employee ID/Driving License.
The GATE 2019 exam is scheduled in 2 shifts each day. The forenoon session timing is 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the Afternoon session timing is 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. There are 2 papers that will be held in multi-sessions – Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The rest of the papers are to be held in single sessions only.
Candidates who are appearing in the GATE 2019 exam must note that the exam is in online mode and there will be two types of question asked in the exam – The first type is the MCQ based questions and the second type is the numerical based questions. Both the questions are to be answered in the online mode only.
Qualifying GATE 2019 will open doors for admission in M.Tech/Ph.D. courses in IITs, IIsc, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and in several government engineering colleges. In addition to that, the scorecard of GATE 2019 is also used by many PSUs for recruitment purposes. GATE 2019 exam is conducted annually turn wise by the 7 IITs and 1 IISc. In 2019, IIT Madras in charge of conducting the exam. Each institute gets a chance to conduct the GATE exam in every 8 years.
