IIM Calcutta has released the form to raise objections against the CAT 2018 Answer Key today, December 07, 2018. The form is available at the official website of IIM Calcutta, iimcat.ac.in. The objection fee per objection is Rs. 1200/-. It has been also notified that only one objection can be raised at a time. IIM Calcutta has released the objection form under the CAT 2018 Login. The candidates have to log in using their CAT 2018 user id and password. After logging, candidates will be able to access the Objection Form tab.

How To Raise The Objection?

To raise the objection, candidates have to select the section of the CAT 2018 Question Paper first. Thereafter they need to select the Question ID of the question that they wish to raise objection for. The Question ID is mentioned in the Question Paper PDF available online. After entering the question Id the candidates need to select their nature of objection from the 3 available options in the drop-down menu.

The available option regarding the nature of objection is – (i) none of the options is the correct answer (ii) More than one option is a correct answer (iii) Answer Key is Incorrect.

The CAT 2018 Objection last date has yet not been announced by IIM Calcutta. However, the candidates can keep a margin 3-4 days in hand until the objection window closes.

After the candidates select the nature of the objection, they need to add a remark of their own explaining the objection within 500 characters. Also, if the candidates have any Supporting Document in the jpg/jpeg/png/PDF format, they can upload the same too. However, this is not mandatory.

The last step in the objection submission process is to pay the fee which is Rs. 1200/- per objection via any available online mode- net banking, credit/debit card, wallet/cash cards etc.

In addition to that, the candidates whose objections will be accepted and will be valid will get their objection fee refunded in their bank accounts. However, those whose objections are rejected will not be refunded any fee.

The CAT 2018 result will be declared in the second week of January 2019. The exact date has yet not bee declared by IIM Calcutta. However, the scores will be based on the CAT 2018 Final Answer Key. After the result is available, IIMs will release the name of candidates who have cleared the cutoff and are eligible for admission.
