Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the answer key, response sheet, and link for submission of representation for Junior Engineer examination that was held from September 23 to 27, 2019. Candidates can login to check their question paper, answer key, responses from today until the last date, which is October 17, 2019.
The commission has published a notification titled “Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contract) Examination – 2018, Uploading of Tentative Answer Keys” at ssc.nic.in. To check answer keys, candidates who have appeared in the exam need to open the notification and click the text in blue “link for candidate’s response sheet, tentative answer keys and submission of representation”.
On the next page, challenge system opens. Here, all the available SSC answer keys are hosted. At the moment, only that for JE exam is available. Click the click here link. Which opens the candidate login page. Here, enter user ID and password, both as per the admit card to login. After logging in, candidates can see the question paper which they got on the day of exam, correct answers, their marked answers, and option to submit objection.
In brief, to check the SSC JE answer keys, go to ssc.nic.in. Click on notification for the answer key. Go through the notification then click the login link. Login with credentials asked for. Then view all questions, answers, responses. Submit objections also through the same.
The questions on each exam date and shift were different. Also the questions will be jumbled from person to person. Hence candidates should refer the answers from their own login.
On basis of final answer keys, candidates will get 1 mark per question, and 0.25 mark will be deducted for incorrect answers. The paper consisted of general intelligence and reasoning with 50 questions of 50 marks, general awareness with 50 questions of 50 marks, and general engineering (civil and structural / electrical / mechanical) with 100 questions of 100 marks.
Submission of objections or representations
SSC invites candidates to submit representations against the JE answer key 2019. This means, that if any candidate feels that an answer is incorrect, then he or she can tell about it to the commission.
However it should be done via the login only. Submissions of objections via email, post, fax, or any other means will not be accepted.
To submit objections, candidates need to login to the answer key and representation module (as described above), and access the objection option there. For every objection, one has to pay Rs 100 per question or answer challenged.
At 12:00 AN, the facility to submit objections will be removed.
Facility to view questions and answers will also cease at that time. Hence, the Staff Selection Commission advice through the notification to take a printout of the same now, for future reference.
SSC JE 2018 refers to the Junior Engineer examination notification issued in February 2019. For that notification, exam has been conducted in September 2019, and its answer key is being referred to as SSC JE answer key 2019. Through this exam, recruitment will be done for 1601 vacancies. The SSC JE 2019 refers to the notification issued in August 2019, for which, application form submission recently closed last month.
