Sashastra Seema Bal, Ministry of Home Affairs, is inviting online applications for the recruitment of constables under various departments. SSB has announced a total of 1522 vacancies for the said posts. Aspirants interested in the recruitment can download the official notification from SSB website, ssbrectt.gov.in. Candidates can submit the applications within 30 days from the release of the advertisement.
SSB is organizing the recruitment process for Constable under different cadre/ division which is as follows, Driver (for male only), Laboratory Assistant, Veterinary, Ayah (for females only), Carpenter, Plumber, Painter, Tailor, Cobbler, Gardener, Cook, Washerman, Barber, Safaiwala, Water Carrier and Waiter (for male only). Candidates are recruited under these posts with the Pay Matrix of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 29,100/-. These posts are on temporary basis but are most likely to be continued. The newly appointed candidates are liable to serve anywhere across India or outside the territory of the county and will be governed by SSB.
Candidates can only apply for one post out of the following. Only online applications are accepted by SSB. Aspirants are advised to visit the official website of SSB, ssbrectt.gov.in, to submit their forms online. Unreserved, EWS and OBC category candidates are advised to submit Rs. 100/- as the application fee. However, SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen and female candidates are exempted from the payment of application fee. The fee can only be submitted through net-banking/ debit card/ challan/ credit card.
Before candidates proceed to submit the online application form, they must check the eligibility norms are laid down by SSB. Aspirants must have completed the minimum age limit of 18 years before applying for the said posts. The upper age limit for Driver post is 27 years, for Lab Assistant, Veterinary, Ayah, Carpenter, Plumber and Painter is 25 years and for the remaining post is 23 years.
Only 10th pass candidates who possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License are eligible for Driver post. Aspirants who have passed 10th class with Science and have a certificate in Laboratory Assistant course is eligible for Laboratory Assistant post. 10th pass candidates with one year of work experience are required for Veterinary post. Those who have passed 10th class and posting first aid examination pass certificate with one year experience can apply for Ayah post. Candidates intending to apply for Carpenter, Plumber and Painter must possess two years of work experience and passed 10th class. For the rest of the posts, candidates must have passed 10th class and must qualify the trade test.
