SRM Institute of Science and Technology is scheduled to end the slot-booking process today, June 25, 2021, for the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) 2021 Phase-II. Subsequently, the phase-II exam is going to be conducted on June 29 and 30 and July 01, 2021. The exam shall be conducted through the online, remote proctored format (ORP). To help students get used to this mode of examination, a mock test will be held on June 26 and 27, 2021. Link and instructions for the same shall be uploaded on the official website srmist.edu.in. Thus, successfully registered candidates are advised to keep a track of the official website for the important information.
SRMJEEE 2021 Phase II examination is scheduled next week. Before the exam, all candidates are expected to appear for the mock exam on June 26 and 27, 2021. Before this, candidates must install the Safe Exam Browser (SEB) on their device. Only those candidates who appear for the mock exam through SEB will be permitted to appear for the main exam. Hence, this is an important step that all aspirants must fulfil well-in advance to avoid any last-minute chaos.
The primary motive of a mock test is to help candidates get accustomed to the Online Remote Proctored (ORP) format. Furthermore, this mock exam also helps to determine whether the aspirant’s device is compatible enough for the exam or not. Detailed instructions to appear for the mock exam along with downloading the hall tickets are available on the official website srmist.edu.in. All candidates are advised to read these instructions carefully before the mock test.
During the mock exam scheduled this weekend, the login credentials of all candidates shall be recorded in the exam portal. These same credentials can be used while appearing for the actual SRMJEEE 2021 Phase-II examination. However, in case the credentials are not recorded, candidates can acquire those from their exam admit cards. Hence, it is important for students to download or take a printout of the admit cards for referring to the login credentials along with other information.
The SRMJEEE 2021 Phase-II examination shall be conducted for a duration of 150 minutes. Candidates are expected to login to the exam portal 60 minutes prior to the exam. This is to ensure that the candidate’s photograph is captured and his/her documents are verified. Candidates can also use this time to read the instructions carefully before beginning this test.
Once the phase-II exam begins, only one question shall be displayed on the screen at each moment. In case candidates do not know how to solve the question, they have the option to skip it. However, after moving to the next question, candidates will not be allowed to access the previous questions. Hence, they are advised to carefully solve the paper and choose the appropriate options.
