Southern Railways has advertised 32 vacancies for Medical Practitioners under Railways Hospital/ Perambur, Chennai. An official notification in this regard has also been published on the Southern Railways website, sr.indianrailways.gov.in. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications for the said posts by October 06, 2020. Moreover, Southern Railways will also be conducting an interview on October 13, 2020.
The conducting body is organizing an online interview to shortlist eligible candidates as Medical Practitioners. The shortlisted candidates will be called for online interview on October 13, 2020, at 11:00 AM. The recruitment of Medical Practitioners is announced on a contractual basis. The shortlisted candidates who qualify the online interview will be posted at RH/Perambur, Chennai for management of COVID-19 wards. These aspirants are recruited for a short period up to December 31, 2020.
Under the Contractual Medical Practitioners (CMP) post, Southern Railways has advertised the posts of Intensivists, Diagnostic Radiologists, Physician and GDMO. The total of 32 vacancies is segregated amongst these posts. Out of the total vacancies, 08 are advertised for Intensivists, 04 for Diagnostic Radiologists, 06 for Physician and 14 for GDMO.
Candidates intending to apply for Intensivists should possess MD in Internal Medicine, Anaesthesia/ Pulmonary Medicine/ Emergency Medicine. They shall also have fellowship in Intensive care or minimum one year of experience in reputed Hospital ICU. An Md/ DNB in Radio Disgonistic with at least 03 years experience in require to apply for Disgonistric Radiologists. Those who have an MD in internal medicine/ Pulmonary medicine with one year experience in reputed hospital can apply for Physician post. Candidates with MBBS degree and experience in ICU are eligible for GDMO post. Those who have MBBS degree and are registered with Indian Medical Council are also eligible for GDMO.
The recruitment is also open for Retired Railways Doctors/ Retired State/Central Government Medical Officers. However, preference will be given to Retired Railways Doctors followed by Retired State/Central Government Medical Officers and Open Market candidates. Retired Medical Officers have to ensure that they have not completed the maximum age limit of 65 years as on October 01, 2020.
To apply for these posts, candidates have to visit the official website, sr.indianrailways.gov.in and download the form. In the application form, candidates who are retired personnel have to mark the same in the given space and furnish the details also. The filled-in application form should be then sent to [email protected]. Candidates also have to send scanned copies of their application along with the date of birth document, MBBS degree and certificate, registration certificate, PPO copy (if applicable and others) to the recruiting body through the mail.
