South East Central Railway, Bilaspur Division, is inviting applications for the engagement of 432 Apprentices under the Apprentice Act 1961 and Apprentice Rule 1962. The vacancies are advertised for various trade apprenticeship posts. Eligible and interested candidates have to apply at the website apprenticeshipindia.org before August 30, 2020 (11.59 PM). The application window is open since August 01, 2020. Interested candidates are encouraged to go through the official notice published in this regard i.e. P/BSP/Rectt/Act. As per the official notification, the vacancies are bifurcated across various trades. These include trades for COPA (90), Stenographer (English) (25), Stenographer (Hindi) (25), Fitter (80), Electrician (50), Wireman (50), Electronic Mechanic (06), RAC Mechanic (06), Welder (40), Plumber (10), Mason (10), Painter (05), Carpenter (10), Machinist (05), Turner (10) and Sheet Metal Worker (10). In addition, the detailed bifurcation as per category is also specified in the official notification.
In order to apply for engagement as apprentice to the advertised vacancies, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the minimum qualifications and other eligibility conditions. All applicants must have passed Class 10th exam under the 10+2 system and acquired an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institute. The minimum age of the applicants must be 15 years and the maximum age must be less than 24 years as on July 01, 2020. However, relaxation of 05 years for SC/ST candidates, 03 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for ESM & PWD candidates are applicable as per government norms in vogue. The exact permissible birth dates for each category are also specified in the detailed recruitment notification.
Eligible candidates are to be shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained in Class 10 and ITI Certification course. As such, candidates are advised to enter their marks accurately in the online application form failing which, the applications are automatically rejected. Selected candidates are to be engaged in the advertised vacancies for a maximum tenure of 01 year. During the tenure, they are entitled to receive monthly stipend as per the rules of the State Government of Chhattisgarh. However, it is not obligatory for the railways authority to offer any employment after the completion of the training period.
Interested and eligible candidates must not wait till the last date and proceed to apply for the recruitment after ensuring their eligibility. Offline applications are however not accepted and candidates have to upload scanned copies of passport-sized photograph and scanned signature along with all necessary supporting documents on the online application form.
