Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the complete notification for the 14033 Vacancies of RRB Junior Engineer (JE) 2019 recruitment. Previously, the notification was released on the employment news but now the RRB has released the detailed notification containing the comprehensive details of vacancies, eligibility, important dates, examination fee etc. The latest release has been available at the official website of 21 RRBs.
In the latest notification, the general rules for the examination has been available. The registration dates has been the same. The application form for the Computer Based Test (CBT) will release on January 02, 2019 and will continue until February 02, 2019. The examination fee is Rs 250/- and Rs. 500/- for SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PwD / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class and rest of the categories respectively.
Candidates must also check the detailed eligibility criteria including the medical fitness required, nationality, age limit and educational qualification. The age limit is different for un-reserved, OBC (Non-Creamy), and Sc/ ST category. There is also relaxation for various candidates in terms of maximum upper age. Applicants must also check comprehensive horizontal and vertical reservation available in the notification.
The recruitment process and application form is common to RRB – Junior Engineer (JE), JE in Information Technology, Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). The selection process includes the 1st stage CBT exam, 2nd stage CBT exam and the third are the Document Verification & Medical Examination (if applicable).
The first stage CBT examination is 90 minutes paper consist of 100 questions. The exam will test the candidates’ educational qualification and minimum technical qualification. In the notification, candidates can also check the detailed syllabus of each section from Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science. The number of questions are 30, 25, 15, and 30 respectively.
In order to clear the first stage screening test, candidates must get minimum qualifying marks. RRB has also mentioned them according to the caste categories. The cut-off is 40%, 30%, 30%, and 25% for UR, OBC, SC, and ST respectively. Candidates clearing this round will appear for second stage CBT which consists of the technical section having 100 questions. Overall, in this stage, there will be 150 questions to be done in 120 minutes.
The admit card for the recruitment will release online and is downloadable using registration number and date of birth. The board will send the message to download on registered mobile number and email-id. On the exam day, candidates will have to carry admit card, photograph, and the identity proof.
