Pursuing an MBA in Aviation Management can be very rewarding for candidates because of several factors. The industry is showing massive growth and is expected to grow manifolds in the near future. As per the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, air traffic increased from 1.40 crore in 2000-2001 to around 14 crores in 2016 and has continued to grow ever since. International Air Transport Association (IATA) has stated that India has the fastest growing Aviation Market in the world, making it ideal for students of our country to pursue their education in this vertical. Currently, India is the third-largest Aviation Market in the world and is only expected to grow further.

The Indian government has also taken significant initiatives to promote the development of the Aviation Sector of the country. Our country hosted The Global Aviation Summit in Mumbai and invited around 1,200 delegates from 80 countries. The government has also designed a National Air Cargo Policy Outline that highlights ways to enhance the functioning of the Indian Cargo Services and Logistics. In addition to this, a blueprint in the name of Vision 2035 has been proposed by The Ministry of Civil Aviation, which points out the kind of infrastructure that is required to aid the development of the Aviation Industry.

Another factor contributing to the bright future of the Aviation Industry is that there are discussions to in-source the Maintainance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services. These services are currently being handled by other countries and bring them in-house will not only open up a plethora of career options in the country but also make air travel much affordable.

All of these factors indicate a bright future of the Aviation Industry in India, which is why courses like MBA in Aviation Management will yield attractive benefits for students in the future. Institutes like ILAM (Institute of Logistics and Aviation Management) are providing industry-ready courses in this vertical. These courses aim and contributing to the development of the Aviation sector in our country and are preparing students to meet global standards of quality and performance.

Through education from ILAM, students get practical exposure through guest lectures, workshops, and industry-visits. Considering all this, it won’t be wrong to say that an MBA in Aviation Management can prove to be increasingly beneficial for students. This course, through its curriculum, touches upon all the different facets of the Aviation Industry and helps students be eligible to enter the various career avenues of the field.
