Rajkot Municipal Corporation is inviting applications from eligible candidate for the post of Part-Time Sweeper. RMC has announced 441 posts for Sweeper post (Safai Kamgar). The recruitment to the announced post is on contractual basis. Those who are shortlisted under this recruitment get salary as per the norms of minimum wages of the unskilled workers. Candidates interested in the recruitment can download the official notification from rmc.gov.in. Aspirants can submit their applications before August 18, 2020.
To apply for the announced post, candidates must be within the age range of 18 years to 40 years. Age is calculated as on the last date to submit the application form. Candidates and their family should be resident of Rajkot city for at least 30 years or more. Aspirants whose parents/grandparents have been janitors in Rajkot Municipal Corporation will be given preference. No member of the candidate’s family should be employed in a government / semi-government, public sector unit during the recruitment process.
In order to apply for the said post, candidates have to get the application form from the official website, rmc.gov.in. Aspirants can also get the forms from all the ward offices of Rajkot Municipal Corporation and the Civic Center of East and West Zone during office hours from July 21, 2020, to August 17, 2020. No fee is charged to access the form through the website or the civic centres.
Candidates have to attach a certified copy of birth certificate/school leaving certificate, Domicile certificate as well as proof of residency in Rajkot city for 30 years or more, Proof that the candidate’s parents/grandparents have been janitors in Rajkot Municipal Corporation, a true copy of the salary slip as a permanent janitor of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation. Along with this, they also have to submit a copy educational qualification certificate, and experience certificate if applicable. If any member of the candidate’s family is not employed in a Government, Semi-Government or Public Sector Unit, a notarized (on stamp paper of Rs. 20 / -) as per the prescribed form has to be submitted. The filled application form along with necessary supporting evidence will be accepted from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm as per the prescribed schedule.
The selection of the candidates is based on the interview round conducted by Rajkot Municipal Corporation. Based on the eligibility criteria, aspirants are invited for the interview. Candidates must be present at the time and place required to meet the original document for verification. In case, they fail to carry any documents, they are declared ineligible for the announced post.
