Kerala High Court is inviting online applications from ITI Electrical certificate holders for recruitment into the post of Helper

The High Court of Kerala has issued a recruitment notification to fill up vacancies for the post of Helper. As per the notice, 04 vacancies are currently available. However, vacancies that may arise during the period of validity of the merit list of shortlisted applicants will also be filled up from the list. Eligible candidates who are interested in the recruitment can go through the notice to know the complete terms & conditions of the recruitment including the details of the application process. Candidates will be able to apply online through the website of the High Court only i.e. hckrecruitment.nic.in. The online registration process (Stage-I) is scheduled to end on August 13, 2020. Submission of the online application form, along with the remittance of fee online & downloading of challan for offline payment can be done until August 20, 2020 (Stage-II). Those who opt for offline fee payment can remit the application fee at SBI branches from August 24, 2020, to September 05, 2020.

As per the detailed notification, the merit list of shortlisted candidates will remain valid for a period of two years. During this period, any further vacancies emerging for the aforementioned post is to be filled up from the shortlisted candidates. However, as of now, only 04 vacancies are available. Candidates who have passed Class 10th and thereafter acquired an ITI Certificate in the Electrical Engineering trade are eligible to apply. Applicants must have been born between January 02, 1984, and January 01, 2002, in order to apply. SC/ST candidates who are born between January 02, 1979, and January 01, 2002, are eligible to apply. On the other hand, OBC candidates born between January 02, 1981, and January 01, 2002, are also eligible to apply. The maximum age of ESM candidates cannot be more than 50 years and widows are provided relaxation of 05 years on the upper age limit up to the maximum age of 50 years.

The selection of eligible applicants is to be done through written exam and interview. A written exam of 100 marks must be cleared by the applicants to qualify for the interview. The duration of the exam is 75 minutes and it consists of Objective Type questions only. The question paper is based on the ITI Certificate course syllabus comprising 80 marks and General Knowledge/Current Affairs consisting of 20 marks. There are provisions of negative marking where 1/4 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Correct answers are however awarded 01 marks. On the other hand, the interview carries 10 marks, and applicants who qualify for the interview must secure at least 35% marks to qualify for final selection. The examination is scheduled to be held at Ernakulam.

Applicants have to pay a fee of Rs 400 in at the Stage II of the application process. Only SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee. The application fee can be paid online through the system generated Fee payment challan or using debit/credit card or internet banking options. In addition to the application fee amount, candidates must also bear the bank transaction charges wherever applicable.

As specified before, the online application form can be submitted in two steps viz. Stage I and Stage II. Stage I is the online registration process which must be completed before the scheduled date at the official website. In order to register online, candidates must provide a valid email id and an active mobile number. Future communication with the candidates is to be done through these registered email id and mobile number. The link to register and apply online is activated at the website as per schedule. On the completion of the online registration process, candidates can proceed to Stage II to fill up and submit the online application form. The fee payment must also be completed during this stage of the application. Candidates have to upload scanned images of recent passport-sized photograph and signature at the online application form. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed recruitment notice before proceeding to apply and understand the recruitment process in detail.
