Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced 1758 vacancies for several apprenticeship posts including electrician, welder, mechanic, machinist, fitter, turner, painter, etc. in workshops and other departments of the South Eastern Railway. The applications started on November 15, 2021, and will remain open until tomorrow i.e., December 14, 2021. Interested candidates will have to apply online by visiting the link to apply, on the official website of SER, rrcser.co.in.
The application fee for submitting a form is INR 100 for the Unreserved and OBC category candidates. Candidates belonging to the SC, ST categories, and women candidates are exempted from paying any application fee. The fee once paid is not refundable.
How to Apply
Before starting the application it is advised that candidates go through the instructions mentioned on the registration page.
Step 1 – Visit the official website of SER, rrcser.co.in. Find the link to apply and click on it.
Step 2 – After entering the registration page candidates will need to fill in basic information such as details regarding their apprenticeship, Aadhar number, personal details, educational details, etc.
Step 3 – After completing the registration form check in the declaration box and click submit, after submitting confirmation screen will appear. Candidates are advised to check all their information carefully, as after submitting they will not be able to edit this information.
Step 4 – After submitting the registration form, an email will be sent containing the registration number.
Step 5 – Login using the registration number and upload the photograph and signature in jpg/jpeg format. Ensure that the pictures are correctly uploaded, as flaws can lead to the rejection of the application form.
Step 6 – Summary of the application will be displayed along with the fee amount to be paid. Click on the make payment option and you will be directed to the payment page.
Step 7 – Make Payment and take a print of the application form and fee receipt.
All the candidates who have passed the examination of class 10 and have completed the age of 15 years can apply. In addition, it is mandatory that the candidates have a certificate of ITI from NCVT. The recruitment will be based on the skills of the candidates.
The board has notified that in case any vacancy for the OBC category remains unfilled, it shall be filled by candidates from the unreserved category and so on. Furthermore, age relaxation for reserved candidates has also been provided by the recruitment board. In addition to that, tie-breaking rules have also been specified. In case of a tie, a candidate of an older age shall be preferred for the said position.
