One of the biggest railway recruitment has been announced this year. 26502 vacancies for RRB ALP & Technician and 62,907 for RRB Group D attracted a huge number of aspirants. As per the reports by RRB, until now 1.5 crore applicants have applied for the recruitments.

This has been a recorder breaking figure. Until now, the largest number of applicants were in NTPC recruitment last year, i.e. 93 lakh. It is expected that the toll will rise more before March 31, which is the last date to apply.

Recently, Piyush Goyal also announced Railway Protection Force (RAPF) recruitment for 9500 posts. The details and application form for RAPF will be available soon and with this railway recruitment 2018 will further expand. The good thing is that under RAPF recruitment, 50% vacancies will be filled with female candidates.

Since such huge number of candidates are applying for the recruitment, RRB has kept a very extensive selection process. The selection of the candidates will be done as follows:

RRB ALP and Technician Recruitment 2018

– First Stage – CBT
– Second stage: CBT
-Third Stage – CBT only for ALP
– Document verification

RRB Group D Recruitment 2018

-First Stage – CBT
-Second Stage – PET
-Document Verification

The candidates preparing for the first CBT need to focus on Mathematics, General intelligence and reasoning, General Science, and General knowledge on current affairs. In Mathematics, candidates must practice Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work; Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.

The syllabus for General Intelligence and Reasoning comprises of Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships,
Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions, etc.

To prepare for General Science, the candidates just need to revise class 10th level Physics, Chemistry, and Life Sciences. Lastly, for General Awareness the candidate should start focusing on current affairs in Science and Technology, Sports, Personalities, etc. It is advised that candidates listen to news and read a newspaper daily.

Qualifying an examination is 99% hard work and 1% luck. So, good luck to you all. We hope you get through all the rounds of recruitment. If there is any query disturbing you, then leave a comment below.
