Last Date to Apply for Punjab State Civil Services Exam 2020 Extended, Check the Notice Released by PPSC Here

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic Punjab Public Service Commission has decided to extend the last dates for form and fee submission

Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has extended the last date to submit the application form of Punjab State Civil Service Examination – 2020. Candidates can now apply online on or before July 15, 2020. Earlier, aspirants have to submit their forms before June 30, 2020. However, acknowledging the COVID-19 impact the last date for the submission of online application is extended. Along with the online form submission, the last date to submit application fee through challan is now extended up to July 22, 2020.

Candidates who were unable to fill their forms earlier should visit the official website of PPSC, i.e ppsc.gov.in, to fill the form now. The link to submit the application form is available on the home page of the website under ‘online registration section’ section. Enter all the necessary information and upload the images as per the prescribed specifications and tap on the ‘submit’ button. Once the online application is submitted, candidates can also edit or update their details provided in the application form.

The application form is accepted by the commission only after the successful payment of prescribed application fee. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe of all states and Backward class of Punjab have to pay Rs.1125/- as the application fee. Whereas, Ex-servicemen of Punjab have to pay Rs.500/- and Physically Handicapped candidates of Punjab have to pay Rs. 1750/-. All other category candidates including the Lineal descendants of Ex-servicemen, EWS, Punjab shall pay Rs.3000/- as the application fee. PPSC access the application fee only through the challan mode.

In order to apply for Punjab State Civil Service Combined Competitive Examination-2020, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university. In case, applicants are in last semester, they can still fill the form provided that they have to furnish proof of passing degree course to be eligible for mains exam. Candidates are not eligible to take prelims exam unless they have passed 10th standard with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or an elective subject. The applicants must have attained the minimum age limit of 21 years but not exceed 37 years of age as on January 01, 2020.

PPSC has announced a total of 77 vacancies to recruitment eligible candidates through Punjab State Civil Service Combined Competitive Examination 2020. The selection to the announced posts is based on the preliminary examination, mains examination and interview round. The final merit list for Punjab State Civil Service Combined Competitive Examination-2020 is prepared based on the marks obtained in the mains exam and interview round. Candidates have to secure minimum 45% marks in aggregate in mains and interview to get shortlisted for the appointment. However, candidates belonging to reserved category have to secure minimum 40% marks.
