National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai has opened its admission for the 2020-2022 batch for the Postgraduate Diploma in Idustrial Management (PGDIM) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Safety and Environmental Management (PGDISEM) programs. The institute will be using the CAT score of the candidates for shortlisting or selecting the candidates for the mentioned programmes.
Candidates can register themselves online at nitie.ac.in and the last date to register is February 3, 2020. The registration process got started on October 31, 2019, online.

So the first step the interested candidate has to do is to visit the website of the institute which is nitie.ac.in ->> On the main page candidate will find “Admission 2020” link in blue ->> Click on the link and select the program for which one has to apply ->> After this proceed further for registration and fill the application form.
For each programme an application fee of Rs. 1000 is charged by the institute, but in case a candidate belongs to an SC, ST or PwD category, the fee is reduced to half i.e only Rs. 500 for any of the programmes they are applying to. This is the application fee charged from the Indian nationals and SAARC countries and for the international students, a USD of 50 is charged. The fee has to be paid online only and not by any other medium.
It must be noted that students must pertain to the eligibility criteria before applying for any of the program offered by the institute. The eligibility concerned for the Indian students is that they must be an engineering or technology graduates in any branch with an aggregate of 60% marks and must have a valid CAT score. The relaxation of 5% is given to the SC, ST and PwD candidates. Final year engineering or technology candidates can also apply, provided they fulfil the mentioned criteria.
The eligibility for international students is that they must have an entry-level qualification at par with that of the Indian candidates with a valid GMAT score. Apart from this, the foreign candidates must also have a valid TOEFL or IELTS score. Along with this, candidates coming under this category are required to have a minimum of 18 months of stay in overseas countries.
It is critical to note for these candidates that they have to submit a statement of purpose (SOP) and two letter of recommendations (LORs) in soft copy.
The shortlisted Indian candidates will be called for group discussion and personal interview at NITIE, Mumbai and the shortlisted foreign candidates will only have to attend the interview along with the Indian students but if it is not feasible there is an option of video conferencing for them. The group discussion and personal interview is scheduled fro March 23, 2020 till March 27, 2020.
According to the scheme of government of India, scheduled caste and tribe candidates will get central sector scholarship as per the scheme. This scholarship will be provided if all the terms and conditions are fulfilled satisfactorily as mentioned.
