The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has released the NIRF Ranking 2021 for the top dental colleges in India. Unlike last year, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Udupi has clinched the first rank this year. The authorities consider five parameters to judge the colleges of their efficiency. Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune and Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai have found the second and third positions respectively. The authorities have released the college rank list along with the scores obtained by them upon assessment. Check NIRF Ranking 2021 Top Architecture Colleges in India
As compared to last year’s ranking, drastic changes can be seen this year as the last year’s number 1 colleges slip to the fourth spot. Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune and Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai have managed to go one spot up from their last year ranks. An improvement in their ranks can also be noted this year. King George`s Medical University, Lucknow is the new entrant this year with an overall score of 71.78. A. B. S. M. Institute of Dental Sciences and Manipal College of Dental Sciences have noted a drop in their positions as compared to last year’s ranks.
Similar trends can be seen for Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education And Research and SRM Dental College, Chennai this year. While SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Dharwad has made a surprise entry in the top 10 list with an overall score of 63.69.
The NIRF releases the annual rankings for colleges in a total of 10 categories and colleges are asked to submit their annual reports to the ministry. Post analysis and applying parameters the authorities release the list of top colleges that provide quality education to students in the respective fields.
