Teacher Recruitment Board, Tamil Nadu has announced notification for TRB PG Assistant 2021 vacancies on its official website, trb.tn.nic.in. The board has announced a total of 2207 vacancies against the Computer Instructor Grade I, Post Graduate Assistants, and Physical Education Directors Grade – I. Out of total vacancies, 1960 is for the current year while the remaining 247 are backlog vacancies.
The application form filling for TRB PG Assistant will commence on September 16, 2021, to October 17, 2021. The online examination for eligible candidates is going to be held on November 13, November 14, and November 15, 2021. The application link for the post of TRB PG Assistant 2021 is going to be active shortly and candidates need to qualify the basic eligibility criteria to be applicable for the aforesaid recruitment. According to the official notification, the application fee for the unreserved candidates is INR 500/- and the same for SC/ST candidates is INR 250/-.
According to the eligibility criteria, the upper age limit for the candidates is 40 years. Additionally, the candidates must be a Post Graduate with an aggregate of 50% marks and must also possess a B.Ed degree. The subjects pursued in Bachelor’s and Master’s should be the same for all the candidates. Along with this, the candidate must be fluent in speaking and writing the Tamil language.
The selection process comprises two phases, an online test, and a document verification round. The online test has 110 questions on the main Subject, 30 questions from educational methodology, and 10 questions from the general knowledge section. The duration to complete the test is 3 hours and candidates will get 1 mark for each correct answer. The board has also specified the language for the paper, as per that the language of the questions asked from the main subject would be in English. The major subjects asked in the main subject would be Home Science, Computer Instructor, Bio-Chemistry, Indian Culture, Micro Biology, and Physical Education.
Owing to the reason, that exam is held online for multiple sessions, therefore the board will consider the normalization of marks to keep the selection process fair for the candidates. The minimum qualifying marks for the unreserved candidate is 50% of the total marks, while the same for sc/st respectively is 45% and 40% respectively. The candidates in the ratio of 1:2 will be called for the document verification round.
The candidates successful in the written test will be called to appear in the document verification round. On successful appointment, the candidates will be eligible to draw the salary against Level 18, and pay-scale of INR 36900 – 116600/.
