National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has declared the result for NIFT written examination. The result has been announced online at nift.ac.in. Right now, the result for only B.Des / M.Des / MFM / MFT programme has been announced. The result for B.F.Tech programme will be announced later on. NIFT 2021 written examination was successfully conducted on February 14, 2021. Earlier, the official authority released the answer key on February 17, 2021.
To check NIFT result 2021, the candidates have to first visit the official website nift.ac.in. Now, click on the ‘Result of the Written Exam-Admissions 2021’ button present on the homepage. Upon clicking the relevant link, a login window will open. Here, enter any two of the following details; roll number, date of birth, application number. Click on the submit button and download the scorecard for future reference.
The scorecard specifies the details like candidate’s name, course name, application number, roll number, category, total marks, common merit rank, category merit rank.
In case of B.Des, the candidates who have qualified the written examination have to then appear for a Situation Test. For M.Des, MFM and M.FTech, the candidates shall be called for Group Discussion / Personal Interview. The candidates have to go through Case Study Based Group Discussion and Personal Interview (PI).
The situation test for B.Des is a test that evaluates the candidate’s skills for material handling and innovative ability on a given situation with a given set of materials. The model shall be evaluated as per the candidate’s space visualization, innovative and creative use of given material, composition of elements, colour scheme, construction skill, overall presentation etc.
Group Discussion (GD) will be of approximately 15-20 minutes and the panel of experts will judge the candidates on the parameters like conceptual clarity, interpersonal skills, knowledge about the topic assigned, leadership qualities, problem solving approach, effective communication etc. Whereas, through Personal Interview, the candidates shall be assessed by the panel of experts on the parameters like career orientation, communication, aptness for the course, overall personal achievements of the candidates, general awareness, creative thinking etc.
The merit list is also published on the official website and the weightage will be given to each test conducted for its preparation. For B.Des, the merit list is prepared by giving weightage to CAT (50%), GAT (30%) and Situation Test (20%). In case of M.Des, weightage will be given to CAT (40%), GAT (30%), GD / PI (30%). For BF.Tech, merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks in GAT and the merit list for M.FTech will be prepared on the basis of the marks in GAT (70%) and GD / PI (30%).
After the conduct of all the rounds, the schedule for NIFT 2021 counselling will be published at nift.ac.in. The candidates have to submit the necessary documents at the time of admission such as class 12th mark sheet, Graduation mark sheet (if applicable), bank draft, proof of date of birth, caste certificate (if applicable), medical fitness certificate etc.
NIFT Delhi conducts written examination for admission into various UG and PG degree level courses such as B.Des, M.Des, B.FTech, M.FTech. The seats are available at 17 campuses situated at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kannur, Shillong, Patna, Mumbai, Srinagar, etc.
