National Institute of Fashion Technology has announced result of NIFT 2018 entrance exam. NIFT 2018 result was announced today, on March 22, 2018, at 4:50 PM. The entrance exam was held on January 21, 2018. NIFT results lead to admission to 2370 seats in Bachelor in Design (B.Des), and Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech) at NIFT campuses in Chennai, New Delhi, Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Kangra, Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kannur, Raebareli, Shillong, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Patna and Srinagar.
For admission to B.Des, one has to qualify general ability test known as GAT as well as creative ability test or CAT. Then shortlisted candidates, as per result of NIFT 2018 entrance exam will appear in situation test which will be held in April or May. B.F.Tech aspirants have to appear in general ability test only.
NIFT gives 50 percent weightage to CAT, 30 percent weightage to GAT, and 20 percent weightage to situation test for bachelor of design admissions. As can be seen, NIFT results are important for several design aspirants across India who have been eyeing admissions in this premier institute.

NIFT 2018 result displays subject wise marks. You can also see whether you have qualified for discussion and interview or not.
For final results, NIFT will display result and merit list, in the month of May or June. Along with it, cut offs are also likely to be published. Admission to all NIFT campuses will only be on basis of entrance exam and weightage given to different components.
Candidates who had appeared in NIFT 2018 entrance exam had been waiting for its result for a long time. There was no pre-defined date for result. However now that result is finally out, it is time for those who have qualified to rejoice and get ready for interview. Others, who could not make it, are urged to not give up.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) was founded in 1986 under the guidance of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It got statutory status in the year 2006 thereby empowering it to award degrees and other academic distinctions.
Main campus is in New Delhi. Apart from 16 campuses, a new one has been announced to be set up at Panchkula, Haryana. That will also come with an increase of seats. Another centre at Ompora Industrial Area Kashmir is also looked forward to be set up.
As per National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF), NIFT was awarded 19th rank all India.
