Ever since the lockdown, many students are waiting for the revised date sheet. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, PSEB released a revised date sheet for classes 5th, 10th, 12th for the postponed exams. However, soon after releasing it, the Board removed it from the official website. It has now been confirmed by the Board authorities that the revised dates sheet as released on April 09, 2020, has been withdrawn and new exam dates will be announced soon at pseb.ac.in.
This is the second time that PSEB has removed the revised date sheet for the postponed exams. Once the board released a revised date sheet as per which the postponed exams due to coronavirus were to start from April 01-03, 2020. Soon, after this, the board released a new notice in which it stated these exams have been further postponed due to 21-days lockdown in the country. Now, on April 09, 2020, the board released another revised date sheet but soon removed it from the official website.
After removing the revised date sheet from the website, the board released a press release in which it stated that new exam dates will be announced soon after re-assessment of the current situation.
This is to inform the students that they will have to wait for a little more for the new exam dates. It is expected the board shall conduct the postponed exams by April end or mid-May. However, there is no official confirmation of this.
As per the withdrawn date sheet of class 10th, the board was going to conduct the exam starting from April 20 till May 05, 2020.
Whereas, the exam for Class 12th as per the withdrawn date sheet was to start from April 20 and go on till April 29, 2020.
Due to the rising cases of Coronavirus in the Country, many states have suggested extending the lockdown to control the situation. Amongst these states, Odisha is the first which has extended its lockdown till April 30. Punjab state as of now has a total of 101 COVID-19 cases. If more cases arise, the state govt may also extend the lockdown, which could further delay the board exams.
