Maharashtra police is about to close the online application form of Police Constable and Prison Sepoy recruitment on September 23, 2019. Last few days are left to apply, after which, the registration link will get deactivated at 11:59 pm. Candidates need to hasten up and submit the form at the earliest by visiting MahaPariksha registration portal, mahapariksha.gov.in.
A total of 3450 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. Anyone who has passed 10th and 12th from a recognized board are eligible to apply for the post of bandsman, constable and sepoy. The age limit is 18 to 28 years for bandsman (unreserved category) and 18 to 33 for (constable and sepoy (reserved category).
In order to apply for police constable and prison sepoy recruitment, candidates need to go to mahapariksha.gov.in. An exclusive box will be infront of the screen which says ” Registration window of the Police Department has started”. Candidates have to click on ‘Register Now’ button. Then they have to submit their name, email address, phone number by which a provisional registration id and password will get generated. Candidates have to login with the same and start filling the form.
Along with the registration form, a free mock test / sample practice sample paper is provided in the portal. The mock test will be very beneficial to the candidates appearing for the exam. It will contain the actual number of questions that will be asked in the exam. Candidates will have to solve the mock test within an allotted time duration.
The application fee is Rs 450 for general / unreserved category candidates and Rs 350 for reserved category candidates. The payment has to be done through debit card / credit card / net banking.
After the closing of the registration process, the admit cards will be released for the written examination. The exam will be of 100 MCQs covering questions from mathematics, general awareness, intellectual test, and marathi language. A duration of 90 minutes (1.5 hours) will be allotted to solve the paper. Candidates belonging to general category has to score a minimum of 35 % cut off marks and the candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC / PWD has to secure a minimum of 33 % to qualify the Maharashtra police examination.
Qualifiers of the written exam, will have to appear for physical test round of 50 marks. The physical test will be held in the ratio 1:10. The male candidates have to undergo 1600 meters running, 100 meters running, and shot put. Whereas female candidates have to undergo 800 meters running, 100 meters running, and shot put of 4 kg. Candidates who finally qualify both the written exam and physical test rounds will be eligible for the Interview round. The final selection will be decided on the basis of the performance of the interview.
