MHRD has announced the new exam date for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Main 2020 and National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET) 2020. Ramesh Pokhriyal (Nishank) went online today to address the queries of the students and during the webinar, he announced the exam date for both the exams. Both the exams will now be held in the month of July 2020. New exam date for JEE Main 2020 is from 18 to 23 July, whereas, NEET 2020 will be held on 26 July 2020.

The webinar started at 12.00 noon on his FB and Twitter pages. The main highlight of the live session was CBSE board exams, JEE Main and NEET 2020 exam dates.

While talking about the preparation of the entrance exams, Ramesh Pokryal said students can use the Diksha portal to prepare for the entrance exam. It is one of the biggest education resources portal, which has over 80,000+ resources in various languages. Both schools students and those preparing for the entrance exam can use it. Other than that, there is e-pathshala for classes 1 to 12, that can be also used for JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 preparation.

Apart from the dates of JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020, MHRD has also addressed other major concern of the students regarding the remaining examination for CBSE board class 10th and 12th. He informed that dates for CBSE exams will be announced in coming days. He also addressed queries on the reduction of the syllabus, college-level annual and semester exams, inaccessibility of online classes, promotion of students from one class to other with / without exams and more.

To all the registered candidates of JEE Main 2020 admit card will be issued online at jeemain.nta.nic.in and for NEET aspirants the admit card will be available at ntaneet.nic.in. The exam date, time, and center will be communicated via the admit card only. As the exam dates have been announced, NTA might also notify about the admit card release dates of JEE Main and NEET soon.

JEE Main 2020 is the most popular engineering entrance exam of the nation and the only gateway to take admission in UG engineering courses in the IITs. On the other hand, NEET is the only medical entrance exam in the nation.

More than 9 lakh students have registered for JEE Main 2020 second attempt, and around 16 lakh have applied for NEET 2020.

Both the exams will be held for the 10+2 passed candidates by NTA. While JEE Main 2020 is held twice a year in CBT mode, NEET is held once a year and in pen and paper mode.

Joint Entrance Examination Main was to be held in April but was deferred until the last week of May and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test was was due to be held on May 03, 2020. However, COVID-19 situation and the nationwide lockdown did not allow the schedule to be executed as expected. MHRD decided to take matters into hand to personally address the medical and engineering aspirants about the national level examination dates via this webinar.
