The online application portal is expected to open today at upsc.gov.in. These eligibility conditions are based on the previous NDA notification. The written exam for NDA 2022 will take place on April 10, 2022.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to release the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) application form today, i.e. December 22, 2021. In addition to the application form, UPSC will also release the official notification containing every detail of the examination. Candidates who are desiring to apply must keep an eye on the official website upsc.gov.in.
As per the academic calendar, the last date for submitting the NDA 2022 application form is January 11, 2022. The written examination will take place on April 10, 2022. Before filling the application form, it is important to have an idea of the eligibility criteria to know whether they can apply for the exam or not.
Eligibility Criteria
In terms of nationality, the applying candidate must be a citizen of India and must be an unmarried male. A person who is of Indian origin and has migrated from other countries to India is also eligible to apply for the exam. However, they have to produce the relevant eligibility certificate issued by the Indian government.
UPSC will accept the date of birth as issued in the matriculation or high school leaving certificate or any certificate recognized by an Indian university as equivalent to matriculation. No other certificate will be accepted.
Educational Qualification
Army Wing (NDA) – The candidate must have passed class 12 of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent that is conducted by a State board or a recognized university.
Air Force and Naval Wings (NDA) – Applicants for these posts must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. However, candidates who are presently appearing for class 12 are also eligible to apply.
Documents
The candidate must possess details of at least one photo ID proof such as Aadhar card, voter card, PAN card, passport, driving license, or any photo ID issued by the State or Central government. The same photo ID has to be uploaded while filling the NDA 2022 application form.
Important Instructions
- Applications for UPSC NDA 2022 must be submitted via upsconline.nic.in. Each candidate will be required to fill the application form in two parts.
- Other than that, the applicant must keep scanned copies of their photograph and signature ready in a JPEG format. The photo ID card needs to be scanned in a PDF format.
- Candidates must provide valid email IDs so that the Commission can contact them at various stages of the examination.
- One should avoid last-minute rush and fill up the NDA 2022 application form well before the deadline.
