The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the exam dates of four exams namely NEET PG 2020, NEET MDS 2020, FMGE December 2019, and PDCET January 2020. These computer based exams will be held in December 2019 and January 2020. Exam dates schedule has been published at natboard.edu.in.
Exam date for three of these exams namely NEET MDS 2020, FMGE Dec 2019, and PDCET Jan 2020 is the same. They will all be held on December 20, 2019.
Sixteen days later, the national level entrance exam for post graduate medical programs, NEET PG 2020, will be conducted on Sunday, January 5, 2020. It is relevant to note that the other exams will not be on a weekend, but on a Friday.
NEET PG is the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma programs. It is an annual exam. Earlier in the year, there were talks of NEXT exam replacing NEET PG. However for now, the reports suggest, that NEXT will come into being in three years time. With the exam date out, it is expected that the application form for NEET PG 2020 will be available in October or November.
Just like NEET PG, the NEET MDS is a national level exam, albeit for MDS admissions. The NEET exams, NEET-PG and NEET-MDS lead to admissions to 50% quota seats for post graduate medical and dental courses , state quota seats for these programs in all states and UTs, all seats in all private colleges as well as universities and institutions in India. Admission to the Armed Forces Medical Services institutions is also through them.
The NEET PG 2020 will also serve as admission point to DNB broad speciality programmes .
Colleges and institutions not under the ambit of NEET PG are AIIMS, PGIMER, JIPMER, NIMHANS, SCTIMST.
Coming to the FMGE, it is the Foreign Medical Graduate Exam. It is a screening test for Indian nationals with foreign medical qualifications. Qualifying the test is necessary for getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any state medical council.
PDCET was held by the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) for the January 2019 admission session. It is the Post Diploma Centralized Entrance Test for admission to post graduate DNB (Secondary) courses. Registrations for PDCET Jan 2020 is expected to begin in October. Application form for the other exams which are on the same date as itself, NEET MDS 2020, FMGE Dec 2019, are also expected to be issued with it.

National Board of Examinations (NBE) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) that standardizes postgraduate medical education and examination in India. It earlier used to conduct DNB CET SS until 2018. However since 2019, it has been scrapped and now the NBE offers admission to the courses through NEET SS. Established in 1975, NBE organizes the largest portfolio of medical exams.
