Indian Air Force (IAF) has declared the result for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 02/2019 today. The results have been declared online and can be checked through the individual login. Candidates who have qualified by obtaining cut off marks can attend AFSB test and interview scheduled to start on October 21. Right now, qualifiers can select the date and venue for AFSB testing from today to September 22, 2019.
AFCAT 02/2019 was conducted on August 24 & 25, 2019 all across India. A supplementary test for the same is due to be held in Srinagar on September 25, 2019. It is not clear how the results have been compiled before the supplementary test is conducted, and how results for those candidates will be compiled. AFCAT is conducted twice a year, in February and August.
To check the result, candidates need to go to afcat.cdac.in, click on candidate login, and select AFCAT 02/2019 cycle. Then enter email ID, password to login. Upon logging in, click “AFCAT Result and AFSB Selection” under the AFCAT steps heading.
Those who have qualified as per the AFCAT Result, can see this message on their screens, “Congratulations! You are qualified for next stage of testing. Please stay tuned for further process.” It also says, “AFSB seat allocation will be available shortly here for the shortlisted candidates who appeared for the exam on 24th and 25th of August 2019. Other candidates please ignore.”
AFCAT 2 2019 cut off has not been disclosed. Individual scores are also not shown. The result only shows whether one has qualified or not.
The AFSB testing centres are at Dehradun (1 AFSB), Mysuru (2 AFSB), Gandhinagar (3 AFSB) and Varanasi (4 AFSB). Flying branch candidates must attend the test at Dehradun centre only. All qualified candidates will be generated AFSB call letters. Then at the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB), they will undergo following tests in order to ascertain suitability and gauge their potential as an officer in the Indian Air Force.
AFSB testing is conducted in two stages. The stage 1 testing is a screening test which consists of Officer Intelligence rating Test, and Picture perception and Discussion Test. Those who qualify stage 1 testing are then eligible to undergo stage-2, psychological test, document check group tests, interview; these take up four to five days. Candidates who do not clear stage -1 testing are sent back home.
Group Tests are interactive indoor and outdoor activities which are a combination of mental and physical work.Then there is Interview involves a personal conversation with an Interviewing Officer.
Those who have applied for flying branch and have been recommended, will also have to undergo a Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) test.
Result was published at 11 am today. The message on the official website reads, “The results have been declared and are available for viewing through individual login. The date and venue for AFSB testing can be selected from 17 Sep 2019 17:00hrs to 22 Sep 2019 23:30 hrs. After this date the venue will be allotted randomly to the candidates who fail to choose their date and venue. The AFSB testing will start from 21 Oct 2019. AFCAT 02/2019 supplementary exam (for Srinagar candidates only) will be conducted on 25 Sept 2019, admit card for AFCAT 02/2019 supplementary is available for download through candidate login from 11 Sept 2019 onward.”
