Mumbai University will release Mumbai University Merit List 2019 for Round 1 today, on June 17, 2019. The merit list will release at 5:00 pm. Instead of releasing a consolidated merit list, the affiliated colleges of Mumbai University releases a separate merit list. The merit is released on the official website of each college.
To check the 1st merit list of Mumbai University 2019, the candidates need to visit the official website of the affiliates college and click on the link for the merit list. Following this, a pdf will open and in it, the details of all the selected candidates will be mentioned. If the candidate has been selected then their category, application id, candidate id, name, merit priority, and merit preference, etc. will be mentioned on it.
The candidates who will be selected as per the Mumbai University 1st merit list will have to appear for document verification. The verification of the document begins from June 18, 2019, and ends on June 20, 2019. On the last date, the verification will ends at 2:00 pm.
The documents needed for verification are – marks sheet of class 10 and 12, caste certificate, conduct certificate, minority certificate, transfer certificate, domicile, photographs, etc. The candidates will have to carry these documents in original, as well as, photocopy. Candidates will also have to pay the admission fee for the college.
The 2nd merit list for Mumbai University Admission 2019 will release on June 20, 2019, at 5:00 pm. The document verification for the round 2 will be done on June 21, 22, and 24, 2019. The facility for verification and fee payment will ends at 2:00 pm.
The dates for MU Merit List for round 3 has also been released. The 3rd merit list for the University of Mumbai will release on June 24, 2019, and the document verification can be done from June 25 to 27, 2019. The deadline for verification and fee payment for round 3 is up to 5:00 pm.
As per reports, so far 7.8 lakh applications have been received by more than 2 lakh candidates. For commerce courses, the number of registered candidates is 4,72,921, whereas, for the science stream, the figure is 1,72,231. The number of students who have applied for Bachelors in Arts (B.A.) is 55,907 and for Bachelors in Mass Media (BMM) it is 51,079. The reported number of applications for Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) is 57,859.
Last year, the university offered 3.36 lakh seats for admission. However, this year, 21 to 22 new college received permission and existing colleges got permission to add a new division. Hence, it is expected that more seats will be offered by Mumbai University.
