The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell, as per a schedule released recently, stated that the answer keys for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test or MHT CET 2021 will be released today, i.e. October 11, 2021. However until now, the answer key link has not been made available. As per educators and mentors on social media, they have contacted the State CET Cell and they have been told that the answer key links will be available around 9:30 PM.
State CET Cell is supposed to release the MHT CET 2021 answer key today. Not only that but the question papers along with the candidate response sheet are supposed to be out. All of these will be available on the official website – cetcell.mahacet.org. Students have been refreshing the website since morning awaiting the keys.
As per reports shared on social media by teachers and mentors who guide students on CET exam, the helpline number said that the key will be made available around 9:30 PM. However if there is any technical issue then it might get further delayed. As soon as the keys are issued, they will either be provided as direct download, or candidates who have appeared for MHT CET 2021 can access the answer keys by using the candidate login window.
The schedule also states that the candidates can submit their grievances, objections regarding the questions (if any) using the candidate login portal from October 12, 2021 to October 13, 2021 (5 PM). After that, the online result declaration process will take place on or before October 28, 2021. Now, to download the answer keys, one has to visit the official website – cetcell.mahacet.org. Then, on the left-hand side of the screen, click on ‘MHT-CET 2021’ below the ‘Under Graduate Courses’. This will open a new window in which the candidate login facility will be available. Click on ‘Registered Candidate Login’ under the ‘Login Links’ below.
On the page that opens, enter the application number and password and click the ‘Sign In’ button. Follow the next steps and download the MHT CET answer key 2021. It must be noted that this procedure of downloading the answer keys is based on the previously released schedule. However, as per various sources, it was found that the answer keys for MHT CET 2021 have not been released yet. These unofficial sources also mentioned that the MHT CET answer key 2021 is likely to be released by 9:30 PM, today.
Now, whether the answer keys get released by the stipulated time or not is yet to be seen. In the meantime, candidates can try logging in using the candidate portal and stay updated on the availability of the answer keys. The schedule also mentions that the answer keys for all the sessions will be released together. Hence, as and when the answer keys are made available, candidates should waste no time in downloading them.
After downloading the answer keys, they must crosscheck the answers and also calculate a tentative score. The marking scheme for MHT CET 2021 is such that for subjects like Physics and Chemistry, 01 mark will be allotted for every correct answer. For Mathematics, the same is 02 marks. Similarly, for the PCB group, all three subjects will have 01 mark for every correct answer. Please note that there is no negative marking in MHT CET 2021. Using this marking scheme, candidates can calculate a tentative score.
