Manipal University will begin the online slot booking process from March 31, 2018. Candidates who have registered for MU Online Entrance Test 2018 (MU OET 2018) book the slot as soon as possible. On the dedicated slot booking portal candidates will book their slot and on the same portal after 24 hours of the booking, they will get their admit card to appear in the online entrance test.
Get Familiar with the Online Test Booking System (OTBS)
The university will open Online Test Booking System (OTBS) on www.manipalotbs.com. The booking will be done on the first-come-first-serve basis. The MU OTBS will defunct on April 07, 2018.
The important thing to note about the OTBS is that it is done in real time, and since many bookings are going on simultaneously, the availability of the slots keep changing. Thus the candidates must be cautious about filling the choices and confirming them. If they desire to get the slot of their choice they must apply as soon as possible.
How to use the OTBS
To book the slot the candidates need to provide the application number and the password that they have received during online registration. After logging in, the candidates will have to follow the instructions and select the test city and the date of examination they are comfortable with. On successful booking, the candidates will get a confirmation mail on their registered email id.
The university has a unique feature of providing more than one attempts to the candidates who are not satisfied with their performances in the Online Entrance Test (OET). For B.Pharm, PharmD and B.Tech courses, there will be 3 attempts. However, for rest of the courses, only 2 attempts are provided. Candidates will have to seperately book slot for each attempt by paying the entrance test fee of Rs. 1400, each time.
The slot booking schedule for different programmes is different as their OET are to be conducted on different days. The candidates who will not book the slot as per the dates, their slots will be automatically assigned.
In any case, the situation of non-availability of slots is faced, the candidates need to choose an alternate slot. This situation arises because the slot has been filled and no more intakes are available. Thus, it is advisable to book the slots in the early stages of the process.
The application process for various courses is going on. The University has also extended the dates of B.Tech applications till April 02 from March 26, 2018. The last date to apply for all the courses are different. Only the candidates submitting their application forms before the scheduled dates will be eligible to access the OTBS.
