Amid the worsening condition of the covid-19 pandemic in the state, the Disaster Management Team of Maharashtra has decided to issue a universal travel pass to residents of the state. This universal pass will ensure smoother movement of the people across the state while the covid-19 restrictions are laid in the state.
This pass will be issued to the people who are connected to utilities such as Medicine, Utility, and Education. Other than this, the applicant must be a permanent citizen of Maharashtra. The universal pass is going to be available in the form of a PDF and as a QR code that they can keep on their mobile while traveling to anywhere in the state during the lockdown. While traveling to any bus stand or railway, the candidates have to simply scan their QR code post which will display their vaccination status, personal information, etc.
How to apply for Maharastra Universal Travel Pass
Currently, the registration portal is down but it is expected that the same shall be operational in a few hours. This universal pass is going to help the people who wish to aim for smooth commutation to their workplace. The following steps mentioned in the space below will be helpful in registering for Mumbai’s Universal pass:
Step 1: Visit the official website of Maharashtra IT, epassmsdma.mahait.org/login
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the registration for Universal travel pass link
Step 3: Next, click on the universal pass for double vaccinated citizen link
Step 4: After this, enter the Certificate of your Establishment, Registration No, Establishment’s Address in detail, and Occupation Category. Next, enter the registered mobile number and click on get OTP and proceed to the next page
Step 5: Finally, go through the details mentioned on the travel pass and download it to the device
Candidates willing to download their Maharashtra Travel pass need to keep the following documents i.e. an active number of registrations, government-issued id proof, and the company with which the person is working as an employee.
