Madurai Kamaraj University, the public university in southern Tamil Nadu, will be holding examinations from November 1, 2019. For the November 2019 semester examinations, MKU has published time tables, one each for PG degree, MBA, B.Sc, B.Com, BA.
The time table for PG courses contains exam dates for MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MCA, M.Com, BLISc, Master of Tourism Management, MHRM, MFT. Whereas the one for BA contains exam dates for BA, BBA, B.Litt, BSc, BCS, B.Com. The others contain exam dates for their course names only. Exams will go on until December 13, 2019.
Students of MKU can download and refer to their exam dates. To do so, one has to go to mkuniversity.ac.in and click on view all link under the notifications section. Then click the notification “November 2019 Semester Examinations – Time Table”, which leads to the page where all five time tables are published. Clicking any one or more of the time tables, opens the time table with exam dates of the courses described therein and above.
MKU exam time table contain name of semester, date, time, name of subjects, subject codes, maximum marks. Each subject in a program has a unique code assigned to it.
PG exams will be held from November 11, 2019, to November 28, 2019. MBA exams will start on November 9, 2019, and end on December 6, 2019. The exams for B.Sc will commence on November 8, 2019, and end on November 29, 2019. B.Com exams will start on November 8, 2019, and end on November 27, 2019. BA semester examinations will take off on November 1, 2019, the first exams to happen, and end on November 28, 2019.
Students get to download their examination hall tickets from mkuniversity.ac.in by logging in with their register number. The admit cards contain course name, center name, name of candidate, register number, course code, centre code, subject code, space for photograph, signature of candidate. Discrepancies in name, photo, subject code or other details in the hall ticket need to be conveyed to the Controller of Examinations immediately upon issuance of hall ticket.
Students must follow guidelines regarding the examination as informed by their colleges, and the university. Important documents to take to the exam, those that should not be taken, should be adhered to. MKU will also announce results online, at mkuniversity.ac.in. To check the same, students will again need register numbers. The register number should thus be preserved for all times.
MKU was established in the year 1966. More than 1.3 lakh students are enrolled in the university. Located in Palkalai Nagar, Madurai Kamaraj University has around 18 schools with 72 departments and 109 affiliated colleges. MKU also has a Directorate of Distance Education. It was created in 1971 as the Institute of Correspondence Course & Continuing Education (ICC&CE), and later renamed to DDE in 1996. A total of 160 UG, PG, PG Diploma, Diploma, certificate courses are taught in it.
