The University of Lucknow is inviting applications in the prescribed format for the recruitment of Medical Officers in Canning College Dispensary, University of Lucknow. Applications in the prescribed format can be submitted by eligible and interested candidates for recruitment into the posts of Medical Officer (Allopathic & Homeopathic). A total of 04 vacancies are advertised through a detailed recruitment notification published in this context. The detailed notification along with the appended proforma for the application can be downloaded from the official website i.e. lkouniv.ac.in. The last date of receipt of applications through the post is August 10, 2020.
As per the detailed notice of recruitment, there are 03 vacancies available for the post of Medical Officer (Allopathic). These are equally distributed across the categories of Unreserved, Other Backward Class and Scheduled Class. On the other hand, there is a single vacancy reserved for SC candidates for the post of Medical Officer (Homeopathic). The detailed educational qualification/experience and age restrictions are indicated in the official advertisement. Candidates, once selected are appointed to the posts in the pay scale of Rs 15600-39100 and grade pay of Rs 5400 and other allowances as per government norms.
The age of the applicants must be within the range of 21 years to 40 years as on 01.07.2020. Relaxations on the upper age limit for candidates identified under reserved categories are applicable as per the rules of UP Government. However, applicants have to comply with the specified minimum educational qualifications. For the post of MO (Allopathic), candidates need to have an MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India. However, preference for selection is given to candidates holding further postgraduate degree/diploma in Medical or Health Service recognized by the MCI. On the other hand, in order to apply for the post of Homeopathic Medical Officer, candidates must be holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Homeopathy which must be recognized as per the schedule of the Homeopathy Central Council Act 1973. For this post, candidates having postgraduate qualifications (degree/diploma) in Medical or Health Services are given preference for selection.
The application format is appended with the detailed recruitment notification released at the official website of the Lucknow University. Candidates have to apply in this format only to the specified address via registered or speed post only. The application form must be duly filled in and signed by the applicant and a recent photograph must also be affixed. Candidates are advised to keep a photocopy of the applications for future reference. In addition, the photograph used in the application must have other copies for use in subsequent stages.
An application fee of Rs 1000 must be paid by applicants through Demand Draft drawn in favor of Finance Officer, University of Lucknow, and payable at Lucknow. For candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, the application fee is Rs 500. Completely filled up applications along with copies of specified documents must reach the Registrar, University of Lucknow, Lucknow-2266007 on or before the last date.
