The Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology is inviting online applications from eligible candidates to fill up 07 vacancies under Project Management Unit of PM-FME Scheme. As per the official recruitment notice & information brochure released on the official website of the Institute i.e. iifpt.edu.in, the online application window is open since July 20, 2020. The last date of receipt of online applications is August 09, 2020, till 5.30 pm. The openings are for posts categorized as Team Leader (1) /Consultant (4) /Young Professionals (2).
Candidates appointed to the post of Team Leader under the project are entitled to receive a salary of Rs 1.75 lakh per month. On the other hand, candidates appointed to the post of Consultant (for preparation of course material, DPR, etc. for the entire training) are entitled to withdraw monthly salary amounting to Rs 1.10 lakh per. Other Consultant posts such as Consultant (Machinery/Process/Product development, packaging, etc.), Consultant (for A/V content development and teaching material for online classes), and Consultant (Product Development) are also entitled to withdraw similar salary per month. However, candidates appointed to the post of Young Professionals are entitled to withdraw a salary of Rs 60,000 per month.
The minimum educational qualification required to apply for each post and the associated experience and age limitations is indicated through the detailed recruitment notification. For the post of Team Leader, candidates must have an MBA/Master’s degree in Public Administration or Rural Development or PGDM with specialization in Agri/Food Business or Rurak Management. In addition, the age of these candidates must not be more than 45 years and relevant experience of at least 10 years is required to apply. In order to apply for the post of Consultant (for preparation of course material, DPR, etc. for the entire training), candidates must have a Master’s degree in Food Technology/Food Engineering/Agricultural Economics/PDGM with specialization in Agri/Food Business Management in addition to, minimum of 05 years of relevant experience. The age of such candidates must not be more than 40 years.
Candidates applying for the post of Consultant (Machinery/Process/Product development, packaging, etc.) must have a Master’s degree in Food Technology/Food Engineering. It is desirable that such applicants have a Ph.D. in the design and development of the Food Process/Equipment of New Product Development. Such applicants must also have more than 05 years of relevant experience and within the age of 40 years. Candidates applying for the post of Consultant or A/V content development and teaching material for online classes) must have a Master’s degree in Visual/Mass Comm./ Journalism/Electronics and Communication and within the age of 40 years. They must also have 05 years of minimum experience. candidates applying to the post of Consultant (Product Development) must have M.Sc. Degree in Food Science (Desurably with a Ph.D.) and within the maximum age of 40 years. A minimum of 05 years of experience in a relevant field is required to apply for the specified post. Candidates applying to the post of Young Professional must have a M.Sc. / M. Tech in Food Technology/Food Engineering wit at least a year’s experience. The maximum age of the applicants must not be more than 32 years.
The selection of candidates is to be done through online exams that can be taken up by applicants from their homes/locations. There are provisions for mock tests to familiarize themselves with the software platform. The question paper is based on food processing and consist if MCQ type and essay type questions. In addition, online interviews are also conducted through video conferencing for the final selection of eligible applicants.
