Northern Coalfields Limited is inviting applications for the engagement of apprentices in the establishments of the company in Madhya Pradesh & Uttar Pradesh. The recruitment is open only for candidates who have acquired their ITI certificates from UP or MP based institutes. A total number of 1500 vacancies are advertised by the NCL in a detailed notification available at the official website i.e. nclcil.in. Eligible and willing candidates can apply online starting from July 17, 2020. The last date of submitting online applications is August 16, 2020, till 05.00 PM.
As per the detailed vacancy distribution indicated through the official notification, the 1500 available openings are bifurcated across various trades. There are 100 openings for the trade of Welder (Gas & Electric). 800 vacancies are available for the Fitter trade. There are 500 vacancies for the Electrician trade while 100 vacancies are available for the trade of Motor Mechanic. The period of apprenticeship is 01 years under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 and in conjunction with the Apprenticeship Rules 1992 and Apprentices (Amendment) Act 2014. Candidates must have the prescribed minimum educational and technical qualifications to apply for engagement in the aforementioned trades under the Apprenticeship scheme. To apply for the trade of Welder (Gas & Electric), candidates need to have passed Class 8th and acquired ITI certification in Welding from NCVT/SCVT recognized institutes. Class 10th pass candidates with ITI certification in the Electrician Trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized institutes are eligible to apply for the Electrician trade. Similarly, 10th pass candidates with ITI certification in Fitter Trade or Motor Mechanic Trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized institutes are eligible to apply for the respective trades of Fitter and Motor Mechanic.
Candidates must have acquired the certificates by completing full time and regular ITI courses with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Candidate belonging to SC/ST and PWD categories must have acquired aggregate minimum marks of 45%. Prescribed qualifications must have been acquired by 31.12.2019. In addition, the minimum and maximum age of the applicants must be 16 and 24 years respectively as on 31.12.2019. However, there are provisions for relaxations on the upper age limit for up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC(NCL) candidates and 10 years for PWD candidates.
Applications for the engagement can be submitted only through the official website of NCL as specified above. Candidates must however submit only one application. In order to apply, one must first register at the DGET website i.e. apprenticeshipindia.org before applying through the NCL Online Application Portal at ncilcil.in. Candidates need an active email ID and mobile number in order to register and apply. In addition, it is advised to prepare scanned and self-attested copies of all specified documents before proceeding to fill up and submit the application form.
In order to apply, one must first go to the aforementioned DGET website and register on the portal by uploading all relevant qualification documents. A registration number is generated which must be noted down. Following the registration, candidates must search the establishment NCL (Establishment Registration No. E01162300007), Singrauli MP, and apply through the portal. Once this process is completed, candidates must visit the official NCL website and apply through the provided link under the Career tab. The DGET registration number must be provided in the NCL online application form. In addition, scanned copies of the specified documents must also be uploaded with the online application form.
